Hey, where's Perry?

Friday night was the art and science fair at Schaeffer Elementary School. Gavin entered the art show with his very own drawing and painting of Perry the Platypus. I for one think he did a GREAT job! Way to go Gavin!

Kyle's first game!

In what will probably end up being one of many, Kyle got to go to his first baseball game on Saturday. It was a beautiful day and the Barnstormers were hosting the Riversharks in a spring training game. He was awake for most of it and even got his first game ball! The boys are training him young!

Opening Day!

Today is one of my favorite days of the year! The MLB season starts today and warm weather is right around the corner for good. I've never been to a MLB opening day and am glad I'm not starting this year. It's cold, rainy, light snow in the forecast, and pretty much miserable out there. Some day I will get to a Phillies opening day game. Should be good year for the Phightin Phils with the big 4 of Halladay, Lee, Oswalt, and Hamels. So cue up the National Anthem, and "Play Ball"!

Family Game Night...Minute to Win It!

Sunday night we had game night and decided to take a stab at the game show "Minute to Win It". I'm no Guy Fieri but we had so much fun! The boys loved it and can't wait to do it again. We let them win $.25 for each game they completed. Blake and Gavin (Kyle just slept) walked away with...$1.25 each. Great night of fun and laughs! Here are the games we played:

Hanky Panky
Get Forked
Mega Bubble
Ready Spaghetti
Tea Party
Noodling Around
Wheel of a Deal
Chocolate Unicorn

Party Time!

Now you won't be seeing us on an upcoming episode of "Outrageous Kids Parties", but it was a great time. Blake had a few friends over Saturday to help celebrate his upcoming birthday. Matthew, Jack, and Nick all came over Saturday afternoon for pizza, tie dyed cake, football, basketball, and a good time just hanging with friends. We also let Gavin invite his friend Nicholas so he had someone to play with. Deb also helped the boys make tie dyed t shirts...they turned out great and didn't even make a mess! It was cool this morning when I dropped Blake off at school...they all wore their shirts!

Happy 2 Months!

"Have you ever wanted time to fly by AND stand still at the same time?" That was one of Debbies status updates on facebook a couple of weeks ago. It's hard to believe Kyle is 2 months old today! These last 2 months have flown by...but not without its challenges. Thankfully, the colic is behind us and we have a healthy and happy baby boy! Happy 2 months Kyle!

SUPER SUNDAY!

Super Bowl Sunday! My team may not be in the game, but Super Bowl Sunday is like a national holiday. If you've been anywhere near a tv for the last few months, then you know who these guys are...they've never missed a Super Bowl!

While that is an awesome feat and I'm sure many great memories, I've been fortunate enough in my 37 years to attend 2 Super Bowls.

Super Bowl XXVI was played between the Bills and Redskins in Minneapolis. My dad won a contest with Chrysler that year and he gave the tickets to my brother and I. I was 19 at the time and we had a blast. Chrysler rolled out the red carpet and we were treated like kings. The whole weekend leading up to the game was just as much fun as the game. The Redskins won in what was the 2nd of 4 straight losses for the Bills. Here's Rick's version.

Fast forward 6 years...I had a friend that was in San Diego for the week of the big game. I get a call from him at 7:00 on Saturday night telling me he has 2 extra tickets and he wants my dad and I to fly out to the game in the morning. He would take care of the tickets, we just had to find a flight. After hours checking for a reasonable flight, we were booked on Southwest leaving Baltimore at 6am. After 3 layovers, we arrived in San Diego about 3 hours before kickoff. This was the Packers and Broncos. My brother couldn't believe it because he had lived in Denver and was a huge Broncos fan (Dad did try to give up his ticket again). What an awesome game. The Broncos won in what many say was one of the best Super Bowl games. We went to a player party after, finally checked into our hotel, and flew back home at 7am on Monday! We really should have stayed a few days...18 hours spent in San Diego is just not enough time in January!

While these guys have "never missed a game", I am just thankful that I have memories of 2 games I've been able to attend. Now for tonight...Go Packers!

Gavin's Prayer

I had to quick leave and write down Gavin's prayer last night after putting him to bed. Kids are great and sometimes we need to just look at life through their eyes. I wonder what goes on in their heads...fascinating!

"Dear God, Thank you for this nice day I hope we have a good time. I pray that Rev King would have a good dream tonight and that all the black and white people would be friends and be on the same team. Amen"

Financial Peace University

Tonight our church started Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. Debbie didn't get to go tonight, but it was a great first week. We are really looking forward to the program and can't wait to see how our finances will be different a year from now.

Kyle Morgan Glass

This past Friday night, Debbie started with contractions about 8-9 minutes apart. She told me to go get a good nights sleep because Saturday would be the day. That was cool, because that was my pick. Anyway, around 11:00 Gavin came out of his room throwing up! Deb laid low for the weekend and continued at about 8-9 minutes. Saturday, no baby...Sunday, no baby. Gavin said he waited until his flu was gone so he could see him at the hostible (I love how he says that). This morning after getting the boys ready for school Deb said they were strong and about 5 minutes apart. The doctor told us to come right in and it wouldn't be long. 1 push and it was over! Deb was a champ! At 2:55pm Kyle entered the world. The boys think he is awesom and can't wait to play football and baseball with him. He was visited today by Nanny, Grandma, Mamaw, Uncle Rick, Aunt Ginger, Abbey, Chad, and Pastor Curt. Papa will get to see him tomorrow.

8lbs 14 oz and 20 1/2 inches...Uncle John said first baseman material!

The Final Countdown!

Ok, this will be baby week (or so we think). Debbie FINALLY let me take a picture of her pregnant so I could put it on here. She feels great and looks even better! She has been "nesting" the past few days and I think we are ready. It has been fun going through all the baby clothes again and we are excited. He still has no name but we are narrowing it down...will still listen to last minute suggestions. My guess is next Saturday the 8th at 7:17am. We'll see!

Kids Say the Darndest Things

While watching We Are Marshall with Blake last night he noticed the rotary phone. I mentioned that Memaw used to have one like that and his response..."But how did you text?"
